I am not a fashionista. While I love fashion, it’s never been something that I’ve tried to keep up with. My main criteria for what I wear is that I don't want to look like a slob. I have low expectations for my wardrobe. However since becoming a mother and a stay at home mom, I’ve wanted to maintain some style so that I don’t end up wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt every day. After being pregnant for nine months, wearing maternity clothes, birthing a baby, and recovering, I want to feel as normal as possible. But breastfeeding a baby adds another wardrobe issue because now I have to find breastfeeding friendly clothes. But have you ever seen breastfeeding clothes? Most of them are either hideous, look like maternity clothes, or are insanely expensive (which hello, breastfeeding is already hard enough, now lets add on top of that you have to look frumpy and nine months pregnant for the next year+). It is actually a life goal of mine to design and create affordable, stylish, breastfeeding friendly clothes.
All this to say I’ve started to attempt to purge my wardrobe and replace it with items that I love and are conducive for nursing and chasing a baby/toddler around. One of my new favorite clothing lines is LuLaRoe. What I love about them is they have incredibly comfortable clothes that feel like pajamas but look super cute. They are most well known for they’re leggings which are often called “buttery soft.” These have become a staple in my closet because as a stay at home mom I am constantly moving or on the floor so it’s nice to be comfortable and cute at the same time.
LuLaRoe has some fun, crazy, out there prints. But if wild prints aren’t your thing, they also have a lot of solid and classic prints. I have more of a classic style so I typically buy more of the neutral, conservative prints and styles. You can always start with a black pair of leggings and go from there. (believe me, you will want to keep going.) The leggings come in two sizes for women, TC (Tall and curvy for sizes 10-16), and OS, (one size for sizes 0-10). They also have kid size leggings.
LuLaRoe is sold by consultants on Facebook and pop up shops. The leggings I’m wearing are from Jenna Stamps. She has an amazing inventory and I would encourage you to follow her if you’ve never experienced LuLaRoe before, or if you need to add another consultant to your list. Her bio and info are below!
I also love the versatility of these leggings. They're perfect during the winter worn under a dress or with a sweater, or in the spring and fall with a short sleeve tunic or top!
Jenna Stamps Bio: Jenna joined LuLaRoe in January 2016. She fell in love with the clothes after having her daughter and struggling to find clothes that fit right. She just left her job in the ER to be fully devoted to her family and her LuLaRoe business and team. LuLaRoe has changed her life. Her family has financial freedom and because of LuLaRoe her wildest dreams are coming true. She says "LuLaRoe offers me the opportunity to bless other women, offer comfort and show them how beautiful they are just the way they are. Giving back has always been my dream and with LuLaRoe, I am able to give in so many ways, its seems surreal."
